Mike Smith, ACI TN License # 1365:
Mike grew up helping his dad with projects around the house, from redoing floors, helping build a deck to car maintenance and repair, he has always loved working with his hands. This translates well to home inspections by not only helping to identify problems but also helping point out what might be the underlying cause. Mike has an eye for detail and this has made him an expert in new construction inspections as well as pre-owned homes. Mike's eye for detail is just what is needed for a new home or a warranty inspection.
Mike grew up in the area and understands how important quality is to our clients, as many are friends and referrals from others. He has worked as a team leader in an automotive factory setting, built data gathering computers for some of the biggest names in the turbine industry (GE, Pratt & Whitney, Siemens) while working for a mechanical engineering firm, and learned valuable customer service skills while working for companies like Home Depot and Sears.
In 2016 Mike and his dad took on their biggest project ever together, they decide to try their hand at flipping a house. He and his dad performed all the work themselves except for having a new roof put on the house. The project took almost a year to complete but it was worth it, and in the end, they ended up selling the house to Mike’s best friend. And don’t worry, they are still great friends that take every opportunity to hang out together, who says you can’t mix friendship and business.
Mike makes his home in Columbia, Tennessee with his wife and daughter.
